Another ceiling stain. Another patch after heavy rain. At some point the repairs stop being repairs and start being an installment plan on a roof that is already finished. NY Roofing Hub Queens replaces shingle and flat roofs on houses, row houses, apartment buildings and commercial properties across Queens. We climb up, we photograph what we find, and we tell you plainly whether the roof has years left or whether it is done. Sometimes the answer is that you do not need us yet. We would rather say that than sell you a roof you could have put off for four more winters.

One leak is not a verdict. Water coming in at a chimney, a skylight curb or a single open seam is usually a repair, and we will quote it as a repair. What changes our answer is the pattern. Shingles failing in three places at once instead of one. A flat roof where every patch we lift sits on wet insulation. A deck that gives underfoot. Those are roofs where the next repair buys one season, and the one after that buys less. So we look at three things. How many separate failures exist, whether the layers underneath are dry, and whether the deck can hold new material. If two come back bad, we recommend replacement and show you why. If one area is the whole problem, our roof repair services handle it and we move on. That happens more often than you would expect.

Every Queens building replaces differently. Here is the work we do, and what changes about it depending on the kind of property you own.
We replace roofs on detached, semi attached and fully attached Queens homes. On attached houses the hard part is rarely the roof. It is getting material up and debris down without blocking your neighbor's entrance. We walk the access route before scheduling, protect the yard and siding, and keep the work zone off your front steps.
Most Queens flat roofs we tear off are old built up or modified bitumen, often over soaked insulation nobody knew was there. We strip to the deck, replace wet board, rebuild the drain and edge details, then install TPO, EPDM or modified bitumen. Our flat roof services cover the whole assembly, because a membrane over a bad drain leaks.
We tear off to the deck rather than layering over old shingles, because an overlay hides the rot you are paying us to find. Then we replace damaged sheathing and install underlayment, drip edge, valley and wall flashing, new pipe boots, and ridge or static ventilation. You pick the profile and color. We tell you what sits underneath.
Warehouses, mixed use buildings and storefronts along Queens Boulevard and Northern Boulevard stay open while we work. We sequence the tear off around your business hours, keep one roof section watertight at all times, and work around HVAC units, vents and condenser lines properly. You get one contact and a daily plan for each roof section.
After a nor'easter or a summer microburst we come out, tarp what is open, and photograph every damaged area before anything is removed. Those photographs matter later. We document slope by slope so your insurer sees the real extent, and we tell you honestly whether the storm finished the roof or only exposed one already finished.
On two family houses, six unit walk ups and co op buildings we work through one point of contact and give tenants notice before the noise starts. We confirm roof access, stair protection and where the container goes. If a board or managing agent approves the scope, we write it in the format they need.
Not sure whether you need a repair or a replacement? Give us the address, the roof type if you know it, and how long the leaking has gone on. We will take it from there.
We install two things, constantly. Asphalt shingles on pitched roofs, and single ply or modified bitumen on flat and low slope roofs. On pitched roofs we use architectural shingles. They sit flatter, they handle Queens wind better than three tab, and they carry manufacturer warranty terms we show you before you sign. On flat roofs we install TPO, EPDM or modified bitumen. Which one depends on your drainage, rooftop equipment, how much foot traffic the roof gets, and whether the existing insulation is worth keeping. We do not install metal, slate or tile. If that is your roof you want a specialist, and we will tell you so rather than practice on your building.
This is the part that surprises people. In New York City a roof replacement is not only a roofing job, and the paperwork has lead time. A full tear off usually needs a filing with the Department of Buildings. We tell you at the estimate whether yours does, we handle the filing, and we do not start a job that should be permitted without one. A street container needs its own permit, plus a plan for alternate side parking. Co op and condo buildings in Forest Hills, Rego Park and Jackson Heights usually want board approval, a certificate of insurance naming the building, and sometimes a fixed work window. Tell us early and we will have it ready. On attached houses we also check the parapet and the shared roof line, because we are tying our new roof into your neighbor's old one and that joint has to be right.

Six stages, in order, so you always know what is happening on your roof and who to call about it.
We inspect the covering, flashing, deck and drainage, lift a test area on flat roofs, and send you the photos. You see what we saw before we recommend anything.
The proposal lists the tear off, the deck allowance, the underlayment, every flashing detail, the ventilation and the cleanup. Exclusions are written down too.
We file what the job needs, arrange the container and its permit, confirm the access route, and give tenants or neighbors notice before anything loud happens.
We strip to the deck and look at what was hidden. If there is rot, you get photographs and a written scope change before we put a board down.
Deck, underlayment, flashing, covering, ventilation, edge details. We keep sections watertight overnight and we never leave an open roof before rain.
We magnet sweep the property, walk the finished roof with you, then hand over your manufacturer warranty, workmanship terms and the before and after photos.
The building usually tells you before the roof does. These are the signs that make us want to get up there this month rather than next spring.
Ceiling stains are not always the roof. Tell us when the water shows up, which room it lands in, and whether anyone has worked on plumbing above it.
You want a straight answer about your roof, a scope you can actually compare, and someone who picks up the phone during the job.
As an emergency roofing company Queens NY property owners can contact, we bring roofing experience, documented findings, and a written repair scope to urgent jobs, helping you decide while your property needs attention. Ask any roof replacement company in Queens NY for the written scope and warranty terms before you decide. One that will not put the scope in writing is telling you something.
If a repair will hold, we quote the repair and take the smaller job.
Two systems, done constantly. We are not learning your roof type on your building.
Scope, exclusions, deck allowance and warranty terms, so you know what can change.
Before, after tear off, and at completion. Useful for you, and useful if an insurer ever asks.
The same person through estimate, permits, installation and handover.

We contacted NY Roofing Hub after noticing a small issue with our roof. Instead of addressing the small problem, we learned that there were other, larger issues. The team was very responsive and provided a description of repair options, and overall, was very professional. The team was very good at communicating with us and letting us know when the job was completed. We feel secure knowing that they fixed the issue and that it will not return.Posted on Google![]()

We recently needed a roof inspection on one of our NYC properties and needed a trusted vendor. We are happy to say our search is over. They did an excellent inspection and look beyond the roof. They identified leaks and other issues and gave us feedback we weren't expecting. It was a great experience and we hope to use them again.Posted on Google![]()

I was extremely satisfied with the roof repair performed by Allstate Construction and the services provided by owners, Jay and Ali Malik . I have worked as a non profit professional for over 40 years and have worked with numerous vendors. The quality of workmanship exhibited by this company far exceeds that of many vendors I have worked with previously. I was especially impressed by the professionalism, knowledge of the industry and customer service skills demonstrated by the repairmen and office staff (Kevin Jones, Manager). I highly recommend retaining the services of this company and have no reservation in hiring them to address future projects. Not always. Some companies use reroofing to mean laying new shingles over old ones. We tear off to the deck instead, because an overlay hides rot and adds weight. If anyone quotes an overlay, ask what happens to the deck underneath.
Yes, when the sections are genuinely separate. A rear addition with its own flat roof can be done alone. A single slope of a connected pitched roof usually cannot, because new and old layers must tie together and that joint becomes the next leak.
Usually not. Most leaks we see are flashing, a pipe boot, a skylight curb or one open seam, and those are repairs. Replacement is the answer when failures are spread out, the insulation is wet, or the deck has gone soft.
A straightforward shingle roof on a single family house is often two to three working days. Flat roofs with wet insulation, attached houses with tight access, and buildings needing permits take longer. We give you a day count after inspecting.
A full tear off generally needs a Department of Buildings filing, and a street container needs its own permit. We confirm what your job requires and handle the filing. We will not start a job that should be permitted without one.
Shingles can be installed in cold weather with the right handling, and flat roof work depends more on a dry surface than temperature. What we will not do is open a deck into snow or driving rain. Winter runs in shorter windows, so schedules stretch.
No. Those are separate trades unless we agree otherwise in writing. We stop the water and dry the roof assembly. Plaster, paint and wet insulation inside the room are interior work, and we say plainly what sits outside our scope.
You get photographs and a written scope change before anything is covered up. Our proposal includes a deck allowance, so small areas are already accounted for. Anything beyond it needs your approval. Nothing gets installed over rot because stopping was inconvenient.
Two separate things. A manufacturer warranty on the materials, with its own registration and exclusions, and our workmanship warranty on the installation. You get both in writing at handover, with the photos.
Call us and we will get it covered. Our emergency roof repair service handles tarping and temporary protection, so you are not waiting out a storm while the permit or the schedule catches up.

If your roof has been leaking in the same place for two years, you probably already know the answer. Let us get up there, photograph it, and tell you for certain.
